Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Staff Test Engineer, for the position of C2BMC/GFC Integrations Lead split between 9970 Federal Dr. Colorado Springs, CO 80921 and 5555 Tech Center Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80909

The selected candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Development and Sustainment Contract (DSC) in support of the Missile Defense Agency. The GMD Program is a critical part of the nations layered Ballistic Missile Defense System providing the US with the capability to engage and intercept long range ballistic missile threats during midcourse flight. GMD is comprised of the Ground Based Interceptor (GBI) and Ground Systems (GS) components located at geographically separated locations with two 24/7 Operations centers that are located at Ft. Greely Alaska (FGA) and the MDA Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC), Schriever AFB, Colorado. The GS component provides the capability to process data received from radars and overhead sensors, communicate across a complex network of redundant nodes, interact with the warfighter, compute intercept solutions, command and direct the GBI to intercept.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or higher in a technical discipline or related field with 9 or more years of related experience.

Active Secret Security Clearance.

Experience with applications software and systems that contain Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs), logical and mathematical solutions in a Linux environment

Experience with hardware interfaces, such as 1553 Bus protocol, GPBI, Digital I/O, Analog to Digital I/O, Ethernet

Experience with Agile development tools, such as JIRA, BitBucket, FishEye, Git, Eclipse, Gradle, Crucible, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Artifactory.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem solving skills.

Ability to mentor junior integrators.

Preferred Qualifications:

DOD Top Secret Security clearance

GMD experience

C2BMC experience

C++, Java, ADA

Linux GUI building tools, such as Eclipse and GPS.

Data Architecture design, modeling, and implementation

Perl or Linux shell scripting

CORBA

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
