Overview
PURPOSE
Organize, schedule, and oversee daily preventive/repair maintenance activities at the Hagerstown Plant. Supervise, train, and develop mechanical maintenance staff to achieve the department goals in a safe manner to create employee ownership.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that employees observe safe work practices and perform work assignments within MSHA and company safety guidelines
- Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained
- Complete records, forms, and other paperwork associated with maintenance activities: including SAP time entry, notifications, orders, etc
- Evaluate and resolve problems affecting overall equipment efficiency
- Recommend, initiate and approve requisitions, PM orders and other associated SAP transactions to obtain required contractor services, equipment, and supplies
- Assist in preparing recommendations for capital expenditures
- Interface with procurement to ensure that all supplies, parts, and materials are available when required
- Assist in preparing annual maintenance budget and staying within that budget
- Assist in development and implementation of training plans for direct reports
- Complete performance evaluations for direct reports
- Coordinate maintenance work with other departments to enhance overall equipment efficiency and maximum production
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education: High School diploma/GED
- Additional Education Preferred: Associates/College Degree
- Work Experience: 1-3 years
- Travel Requirements: Limited for training.
- Computer and Software Skills: Basic, SAP Experience Preferred
