Job Title: Production Operator

Your Challenge

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role requires someone who is adaptable, willing to work, energetic and eager to learn. Training is provided for the right candidates

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete roll changes, including webbing up the machine
  • Check and fill lamination, tail tie and pick up glues
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Operate hand tools, pallet jacks, and fire extinguishers
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures to complete product changeovers
  • Follow production schedules and complete production goals
  • Maintaining a high standard of quality for finished products through quality checks and inspection of various machines
  • Load boxes by hand to case packers when case packer is down
  • Maintain equipment and keep work environment clean
  • All other duties as assigned

Schedule and Shift Information

24/7 facility - will need to have availability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. Production operators work a rotating shift, four 12-hour shifts then four days off switching between days and nights

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent; able to read and write legibly.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, stable under pressure and organized, while staying within safety rules and regulations
  • Safety centered mindset
  • Ability to be accountable and create a strong attendance record
  • Must have mechanical and technical aptitude with an ability to understand converting equipment design concepts and troubleshoot
  • Must have demonstrated track record of ownership and interest in the success of your current assignment. This commitment to success should be demonstrated across all crews, not just on the assigned crew
  • Must be able to operate various machinery and equipment
  • Must be able to walk/stand for majority of shift (10-12 hours)
  • Must be able to lift between 50-70 lbs
