The Enterprise Services Datacenter Network Organization designs, implements and operates a state-of-the-art Information Systems Infrastructure serving around 110,000 employees, in over 750 locations across 65 plus countries. The Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for operational support of Server Infrastructure for regional servers at Honeywell. You will work in VMware, Windows & Linux Server Architecture & Administration (Windows 2019/2016/2012 Operating Systems & *NIX) This role includes complimentary technology management of regional infrastructure such as network & backup infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational support of on-premise and regional server stacks and technology
  • Work with Hyper-Converged Infrastructure technology platforms such as Dell VXRail
  • Troubleshoot performance issues related to virtualized workloads
  • Facilitate implementation of new technology stacks and migration of workloads from on-prem to hybrid cloud or pure cloud
  • Travel on a rotating basis to regional Infrastructure deployments for support
  • Participate in calls with other members to address and troubleshoot application and or infrastructure related issues

Travel Approximately 15% within Canada and North America with an occasional overnight stay

Candidates must be eligible to obtain NATO Secret Clearance (Canadian Citizenship)

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Management
  • 10 years of experience in operational support of enterprise server ecosystems
  • 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow or another similar formal Service Management platform(s) and/or methodology
  • 5+ Red Hat LINUX or other distribution experience
  • 2+ years of Virtualization platforms such as VXRail, vSAN, and VCF/NSX experience
  • 2+ years of experience with one or more of the following: Server automation activities or Infrastructure as code (CHEF, JSON, Powershell, Ruby, or other scripting languages)

WE VALUE

  • Excellent leadership communication and executive presence
  •  5+ years of Windows Server 2019/2016/2012 OS
  • Windows patching tools such as Tanium and Windows security standards & OS Hardening concepts are a plus
  • Experience with support of Azure or AWS servers and cloud storage such as Nasuni
  • Experience with support of Network infrastructure such as Cisco Nexus & Catalyst switches
  • Experience with support of contemporary data recovery products such as Rubrik
  • Experience with support of IT/OT systems, including network implementation & segmentation, PLC’s and field devices, and IT systems
  • Understands both Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Windows-based PC’s and server VM’s and industrial network architectures and how to effectively support these technologies
  • Excellent oral, written, and collaborative communication skills, including executive-level communications
  • The ability to partner effectively across IT teams, suppliers, and business customers on cross-functional projects and process improvements
  • Strong interpersonal skills - effective listening and teaming
  • Self-motivated, demonstrated bias for action
  • Skilled in partnering with internal customers at all levels to define problems, identify solutions, and facilitate change
