The T55 Growth Project Engineering team has an immediate opening for an Advanced Project Engineer.  To meet the needs of the marketplace in the face of stiff competition, the team must rapidly develop new engines to be the best in the marketplace through execution of world class project management.
The successful candidate will be a member of a cross-functional engineering team developing major engine systems to be best-in market under strict schedule constraints.

Key Responsibilities
• Support design and development activity of the engine system through all aspects of the IPDS process on schedule, on budget and in compliance with all technical requirements. Key aspects include requirements validation and verification, resolution of key technical challenges, acquisition of hardware, management of fabrication cost and execution of qualification tasks.
• Cost account manager for assigned scope, including Earned Value Management System reporting. Annual budgetary responsibility approximately $1M
• Expected to support and/or lead the following within the project team
o Support the program for the assigned engine module
o Leadership capability with diverse, cross functional team
o Escalate effectively with leadership and cross-functionally across the organization
o Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
o Bias toward creative thinking and innovation in product design and approach to everyday work
o Implement design-to-cost and variation-reduction strategies
o Promote strong team working relationships
o Identify gaps and risks on behalf of the team
o Support schedules and budgeted time for the tasks of the team members


• Due to US export control laws, must be a US Citizen, permanent resident, or have protected status
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 3+ years directly related engineering experience in the design, development, manufacture, and/or test of gas turbine engines or similarly complex mechanical systems

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and manage customers both internal and external
• Experience in the field of gas turbine engine module or system development and project management
