HJF is seeking a Senior ESP Biostatistician (Part-Time) to support the Business Development Department located at the HJF Home Office in Bethesda, MD. This position will be 20 hours per week during the standard business day. Willing to consider 100% telework.

Provides customized statistical analysis planning and study design support to HJF customers, research staff and internal departments. This will include the full range of project support from experimental design and grant proposal development to data analysis and effective communication of data modelling results.

  1. Work closely with clinicians and basic researchers to provide assistance in the planning and design of research experimental design and statistical analysis planning. (25%)
  2. Provide statistical support via statistical consultation on an ad hoc basis and data analyses throughout the courses of studies and prepares statistical reports for presentations and publications. (25%)
  3. Assist with writing statistical sections of proposals, reports, publications and/or IRB protocols. (20%)
  4. Actively collaborate with HJF customers, research staff, business development and research administration teams to meet deadlines. (10%)
  5. Communicate computational biology principles and concepts to customers and staff. (10%)
  6. Works with research staff to achieve the goals of the research program. (10%)
  7. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have a background in statistics and/or grant writing experience. Demonstrated proficiency with statistical methods and applications in clinical research; expertise in state-of-the-art data manipulation and statistical methodology; experience writing statistical plans for grant proposals; ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently as well as in a team environment; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Minimum Education: Doctoral degree in statistics or related field required.

Minimum Experience/ Training Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience required.

Work Environment: Set in an office or laboratory environment. May consider 100% telework.
