Senior Consultant for the Workplace Strategy team is a project leader who will be responsible for workplace project delivery, as well as business development and securing project mandate for the team. This person has experience with all aspects of strategic planning and change management of workplace transformation for global and local (preferably in Asia) firms. This person is a team player and good communicator who can drive business development activities, presentations, and manage client communications. Some of the main duties include (but not limited to);

  • Business development and marketing skills
  • Create scope of work and fee proposals and achieve mandate
  • Lead project delivery by managing client communication and leading the project team, as well as collaborate with associated line of business when appropriate
  • Drive research, data analysis, and scenario building to form workplace strategy
  • Exhibit in-depth knowledge of workplace trends
  • Lead Change Management planning and activities
  • Innovate new products and services
  • Collaborate with other business lines within CBRE
  • Leverage knowledge within CBRE Japan, APAC and Global
  • Team Player who enjoys helping others

Key Responsibilities

Project delivery:

  • Strategize and plan a set of consulting activities that are most effective for the clients
  • Formulate consulting services and present it to the clients
  • Build a strong communicative relationship with the clients and with the team
  • Plan and facilitate client workshops with executives (C-suite) and other level of organization
  • Conduct executive level client interviews (C-suite, head of departments)
  • Manage team's workload against the committed deliverables
  • Lead ideation sessions with the team
  • Define hypothesis and direct data research and analysis
  • Leverage and share workplace knowledge with the team locally and globally
  • Develop logical, hypothesis and data-driven workplace recommendations (including workplace models, design principles and space budget)
  • Strategize on Change Management scope and detail plan
  • Manage Change Management sessions with the team
  • Consult and collaborate on workplace design with third-party designers
Business development and marketing

  • Create proposals of consulting services that address the needs of the client, make pitches and win the mandate based on profitable fee
  • Network and build relationships with associated partners, vendors, etc...
  • Contribute to business development and business line financial targets
  • Collaborate with other business lines to integrate our services offering
Project & team management

  • Manage project forecasts accurately.
  • Identify resourcing needs on project
  • Develop and coach junior team members

Required Knowledge & Skills

Education and Qualifications

  • University graduate with relevant degree - Master preferred
  • Background in business (MBA), change management, HR, organization development or design preferred
  • Prior experience working for consultancy firms is a plus
