•Responsible for overseeing all M&E matters relating to the effective Plant and Equipment Maintenance on the site and ensuring that the CBRE Safety Rules and Procedures are adhered to by all site personnel

•Liaison with Contract Manager(s) and Client to ensure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with site policies and procedures and within health and safety legislative requirements

•Undertake AP duties, as required, on site for disciplines for which you have the relevant technical skills

•To carry-out Technical and Quality Audits to ensure sites are technically and statutory compliant

•To manage the site/s M&E Operatives including carrying out appraisals of the site M&E team

•To agree specifications with the Client for extra works and then liaise with prospective subcontractors and prepare quotation to be submitted to the client via web quote


•To provide professional control of all Electrical and Mechanical facilities / systems / works on the site

•To keep abreast of Engineering Developments and Technology advancements and how they could be implemented on your site/s

•Advise Site Technical Staff of Technical Changes advised to you, by the Services Manager or via the CBRE Technical Bulletins

•Assist the Account / Contract Manager to carryout interviews for M&E Staff.

•Vetting and approval of all sub-contractor H&S documents in accordance with client corporate H&S permit to work application procedure for all sub-contractor extra works activities

•Carryout the duties of Authorized Person (AP) HV-LV Electrical systems, Confined Space, Systems etc., (dependent upon your qualifications)

•Deputize and act as Contract Manager as directed by the Account / Contract Manager

•Provide a Technical point of contact for Client and Site M&E Staff

•Provide guidance and advice on contractors RAMS for none-routine works on site, as required

•To carryout assessment of Contractors competencies, as required

•Give advice to Account / Contract Manager on Technical Competences required to fulfil the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance requirements and, as necessary, arrange Technical Training for Site Staff

•Investigate and provide Technical Reports in the event of mishaps or incidents on site, as required, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are kept fully informed

•Management and control of all technical matters relating to plant and equipment maintenance including existing equipment, new works and future upgrade works

•Identify potential technical improvements for existing plant and equipment maintenance to facilitate improved reliability and /or cost reduction with fully supported documentation

•Attend regular meetings with client and stakeholders to ensure all M&E maintenance and reactive issues are resolved in a timely manner.

•Identify and develop training plans specific to installed equipment to facilitate training of site engineers and for staff development

•Ensure all matters relating to Health and Safety legislative requirements are fully documented and understood by all site staff and subcontractors involved in the maintenance of plant and equipment ensuring that advise has been taken from the CBRE HSE Manager and BU Services Manager

•Assist in the development and adherence to method statements, ensuring best working practices are established and maintained

•Work with sub-contractors involved in plant and equipment maintenance to ensure highest possible standards of maintenance are achieved

•Liaise with site and client management during any emergency operations or procedures

•Assist client with resolution of technical matters arising from installed equipment or maintenance of this equipment taking advise from the BU Services Manager, as required

•Assist on site team in resolving any financial issues which may arise

•Manage training programs for all CBRE M&E operatives ensuring all mandatory training is updated as required

•Manage reporting operatives timesheets and rosters

•Ownership of CBRE and sub-contractors RAMS


•Preferably be a trade qualified engineer who has recognized technical qualifications in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering and preferably working towards Incorporated Engineering registration with CIBSE or equivalent approved engineering body and having several years (minimum 2 years) experience as a Supervisor of M&E Works

•IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification, preferred.

•A good knowledge of Building Management Systems; Fire Alarm Systems and General Building Services (Electrical; AC; Boilers; Water Systems; Chillers; Generators; UPS's, etc.)

•Exhibit at all times an awareness of safety procedures and practices

•Show diligence in safe working Methods both for CBRE and client staff

•Impart knowledge and safety training to all members of staff as required
