Boston-based Beacon Health Options is a behavioral health management company. It covers all 50 states through more than 70 locations with 4,700 employees. Sales Account Executive - Behavioral Health

LOCATION: The selected candidate must reside in the Eastern US, but also prefer the mid-Atlantic region. This is a work-from-home opportunity.


The DBG (Diversified Business Group) Sales Account Executive will be responsible for acquiring new business, focused solely on our Beacon behavioral health business and achievement of an annual growth target. The successful candidate will be able to develop and maintain a strong new Beacon behavioral health business pipeline and have effective collaboration and relationship-building skills both with internal and external stakeholders.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Takes ownership of the sales cycle from lead qualification through contracting. 
  • Builds strong client relationships and establishes executive credibility with key stakeholders including clients, government agencies, and vendor partners. 
  • Acts as a thought leader to our potential clients demonstrating cutting-edge knowledge of state and federal programs, health plan business and regulations, and understanding of key market trends. 
  • Collaborates with Account Management, Clinical, Government Affairs, Product Development, Operations, and other functional area leaders to translate identified market opportunities into viable, cost-competitive, and innovative products and solutions that will create profitable new business opportunities. 



Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS required, advanced degree preferred; at least 5 years of sales experience in healthcare; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • MUST have Behavioral health experience; preferably in sales, but other relevant BH experience will be considered. 
  • Travel up to 50% within the region is required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong preference for experience with health plans and/or public sector program administration, business development, and operations.
