Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with customers to design solutions to address complex cross functional needs. Identifies Best Known Methods (BKMs) for integrated solution design and standards; Keeps abreast of technologies in the market and preform technology evaluations, as required. Works with multiple vendors for high quality resources and competitiveness 
  • Serve as an interface within a functional area such as Engineering for the purpose of business technology alignment, solution discovery, solution design and delivery.
  • Architect and design complex business process/business application solutions to address cross functional needs and convert design to functional and technical specifications. Oversee software application configuration, prepare and execute testing (unit, integration, performance, acceptance) and data conversions.  Identifies and recommend industry BKM's for integrated solution design and standards.
  • Contributes to business requirements definition, develops functional requirements, designs functional solution, documents the test scenarios for the solution, reviews testing scope and results, executes feature/solution and performance testing, works with end users to perform user acceptance testing, supports solution deployment activities.
  • Monitors specific IT systems or set of systems for availability and performance and reports anomalies through predefined process.  Participate in evaluation/recommendation of patches, point releases, major upgrades, and new systems.
  • Contributes in support services to GIS (IT Organization) customers for specific IT service or set of services.  Reviews / Completes root cause analysis of incidents (often working with managed services partner).  Reviews / Recommends preventative actions 
  • Delivers project and support services within area of responsibility within allocated budget. Develops project budgets. May be responsible for timely renewal of maintenance and subscription contracts.
  • Ensures effective and efficient execution in line with established processes and guidelines and guardrails of scope, timeline, budget and quality. Adheres to GIS (IT Organization) project management, software application development, testing, service management, change management, RCA and other relevant processes, standards, governance and controls.  
  • Mentors and trains team members in product functionality, development and testing guidelines, tools, and methodologies 
  • Oversees/manages contingent workers performing services in one or multiple projects.  Responsible for the selection, on boarding and off boarding of contingent workers in a timely manner. Manages contingent worker project/task assignments and ensure work product quality. Approves contingent worker time sheets/costs.

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.  Minor in Computer Science or a Master’s degree in engineering/computer science a plus.


  • 10+ years of solution design experience with Teamcenter product lifecycle management (PLM) is required. This should include configurations and solution implementation using workflows, change management, BoM Management and other functionalities. Expertise in Teamcenter foundation and data model is highly desirable.
  • Experience in working with T4S (Teamcenter gateway for SAP) is required. This should include designing and implementing solutions using T4S product. Experience should also include performance monitoring, fine tuning of the integration set-up and resolving production issues. SAP Material Master, BoM Master and Change master experience is highly desirable.
  • Solid experience in converting business requirements to functional requirements and solution design is mandatory. Should be able to come up with high level designs and functional designs for the solution.
  • Experience in Teamcenter upgrades and performing data migrations to Teamcenter is desirable.
  • Experience in Teamcenter manufacturing is considered added advantage.
  • Experience in performing solution design for web-based engineering applications is highly desirable
  • Experience in working with CAD Integrations for Teamcenter is desirable
  • Experience in working with CAD software such as NX, Solidworks and Inventor is desirable
  • Knowledge of programming languages like C++, Java, Python is a nice to have.
