Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineering Thread Lead. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Do you have systems engineering and requirement verification experience? What you will get to do, specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Customer coordination and interfacing with Product IPTs to support systems engineering activities relating to the GBSD weapon system
  • The thread lead is responsible for integrating vertically and horizontally among all the key stakeholders to ensure a consistent vision and implementation for the system within that thread.
  • Ownership of a portion of system requirements, allocation to lower levels, R vs C, verification planning, and analysis planning and execution in a Model based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment.
  • Support the planning and executing the EMD SOW, proactively interfacing with other SE&I organizations and GBSD IPTs to ensure successful allocation and verification of requirements.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 9 Years with BS; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
  • Active Secret clearance with an in-scope investigation date within the last 6 years
  • Strong Systems Engineering skills (3+ years)
  • Experience in verification planning
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Requirement management (1+ year)
  • Good leadership and communication skills with the ability to brief Segment, Program and Customer leadership
  • Ability to lead a Working Group of 6-10 engineers and manage a small support team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with ICBM programs
  • Extensive MBSE experience (3+ years)
  • Experience with DOORS and CAMEO tools
  • Experience with Environments and Design Integration
  • Experience with Agile Development

Salary Range: $108,376 USD - $162,564 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
