Position Summary

Provide user support and maintenance of existing IT infrastructure in support of divisional and plant strategic operational objectives while researching and implementing new technologies.


• Supports Division Information Services Department objectives.
• Maintains existing plant systems. Correct known issues and enhance current functionality as
requested by users. Develop specifications to support enhancements to existing systems.
• Research and present new technologies that will enhance productivity and ease of use.
• Provides user support in the areas of software development, troubleshooting of desktop and
laptop computers, training on standard business applications and fine-tuning and
configuration of computers and networks.
• Support a variety of applications including Shop Floor Control, Bar Coding Equipment, Work
stations and Window based servers.
• Maintain effective communication with supervisor, plant manager, and other employees.
• Be cost effective within the operating budget established for these functions.
• Maintain safety requirements and promote safety practices.
• Maintain quality standards.


1. Education
• BS degree, Engineering or Computer Science required.
• Technical certifications such as A+ or MCSE are a plus.

2. Experience
• Individuals with 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and 2-5 years of
computer experience or equivalent preferred.

3. Computer Skills
• Strong computer skills required to efficiently utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and
Lotus Notes.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of Network architectures.
• PC installation and troubleshooting
• LAN / WAN support
• Help Desk
• Active Directory
• Software & hardware support (PC, laptop, server, printers, tablets, thin clients, mobile
devices, switches, etc.)
• Familiarity with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
• Familiarity with Android OS.
• Familiarity with thin clients & terminal services
• SQL Database administration
• RFGen experience a plus.
• Note – programming or coding is not a requirement for this position.

• Able to effectively communicate and build strong relationships with all employees and
• Must have a strong customer service focus both internal and external.
• Strong written and oral skills to gather information and convey solutions.
• Maintain effective communication with supervisor, plant manager, and other employees.
