**Description:** Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is hiring for a Senior Staff \(Level 5\) Identification Fusion Design Engineer to support our F\-35 program\!

The F\-35 Sensor Fusion team is preparing for the next generation of information fusion\. We're looking for a high performance algorithm engineer to help develop the future of the Combat Identification aspect of sensor fusion\.

In this role you will be responsible for:

•Developing algorithms for the F\-35 Sensor Fusion Combat ID and Reprogramming Labs team\.

•The successful candidate will initially work under the guidance of the F\-35 Combat Identification Subject Matter Expert and will ultimately lead a team of software engineers on related projects\.

•Collaborating with the design SMEs of the other fusion specialized focus areas\.

•Working with the software development team, with the F\-35 Mission Systems and F\-35 Sensors / Sensor supplier teams, and with the F\-35 Pilot community\.

• Creating and updating algorithm designs, ensuring that the algorithm design is realized on the F\-35 by closely collaborating with the software development team from software design, through software implementation, to desktop, Lab and Flight Test\.

•Analyzing flight test data to root cause and resolve anomalies, and briefing executive leadership and customers on the projects\.

•Tasks and responsibilities will require interaction with Lockheed Martin and partner engineering teams as well as government customers, and operational/test site personnel\.

**Basic Qualifications:**

•Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics\.

•Experience with Combat Identification methods\.

•Experience with Electronic Warfare \(EW\) techniques\.

•Experience with reprogramming capabilities and tools\.

•Expertise in Probability Theory\.

**Desired Skills:**

•Proficient in Machine learning, Python, MATLAB, R, C\+\+\.

•Prior military officer experience desired\.

•Experience communicating complex technical designs to software engineers\.

•Experience briefing military personnel\.

•Sensor Fusion experience\.

•Expertise in Dempster\-Shafer Theory\.

•Expertise with Bayesian Networks\.

•Sensor phenomenology exploitation experience\.

•Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills\.

•Experience making senior\-level executive presentations\.
