Raytheon Technologies is looking for high-energy, self-driven team members with demonstrated track record to join our team as a Senior FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) Engineer in McKinney, TX. The candidate is responsible for developing FPGA level requirements derived from system level requirements, developing associated architectures, implementing design, performing simulations and analysis and testing of the FPGA, module, and/or unit in a laboratory setting. The candidate will be familiar with latest technology trends in the area of microprocessors, memory, FPGAs and interface protocols. The candidate will work in the product development team environment with system and software engineers. This position may require occasional business related travel.

Required Skills:
___Minimum 5 yrs of experience in FPGA Logic design and testing
___Electrical Engineering and/or related technology proficiency
___Hands-on experience in testing of products using FPGA debugging tools
___Experience with interfaces and bus standards such as: ___PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) & 10/100 Gb Ethernet___Multi-gigabit standards e.g. GigE Vision/ HD-SDI (High Definition-Serial Digital Interface), CoaXpress, Aurora, and/or CameraLink
___Experience designing with Xilinx and/or Altera FPGA/SoCs (System-On-Chips)___Zynq, Kintex/Virtex Ultrascale and newer
___Experience with video optimization such as:___Non-uniformity correction
___Contrast Enhancement, Video Processing
___Color Correction
___Exposure control
___Experience with image sensor integration, e.g. new visible and IR (Infrared) cameras
___Excellent team player, works well with interdisciplinary teams, e.g. mechanical, optical, software
___Ability to work self - guided and develop priorities on multiple tasks as well as provide technical guidance
___The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Desired Skills:
___Matlab ___ HDL (Hardware Description Language) coder
___Experience in low volume, high complexity development environments
___Experience designing with FPGAs, SoC___s and real-time microcontrollers
___Multi-Gigabit transceivers, DDR (Double Data Rate) and flash memories
___Background in Sensor and Read Out IC (Integrated circuit)
___Experience working on Agile Teams using JIRA
___Knowledge of GitLab DevSecOps tools

Required Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related STEM discipline

Desired Education:
Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related STEM field is preferred
