This job will a contribute to the design of cutting-edge turbo machinery technologies.

The candidate for this job will help expand our knowledge and capability of turbo machines and other aerospace hardware used for both military and civilian applications by overseeing development programs that involve testing and troubleshooting many aspects of Aerospace hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting electrical design drawings using AutoCAD software
  • Performing troubleshooting or checkout of test equipment using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, or other electrical measurement or diagnostic tools
  • Arranging equipment in a new test cell with an understanding of the flow of energies such as exhaust gases and fuel, electrical power (load banks), pressure and temperature measurement sensors and other supporting equipment.
  • Reverse engineering of older undocumented test cells to create electrical drawings
  • Designing user screens for control systems, such as PLC’s, to control test cell facilities or test equipment using software and hardware
  • Presenting status reports and design ideas in group settings to fellow Team Members
  • Responding quickly as the need arises

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in Engineering Test overseeing testing of hardware
  • Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements

WE VALUE

  • Experience as a Technical leader and designer
  • Working knowledge of industry electrical standards (UL508A, NFPA79, IEC, NEC)
  • A good grasp of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Experience operating standard test equipment: digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical measurement tools
  • A familiarity with industrial automation platforms, including Automation Direct, Rockwell Automation Control and GE PLC products
  • A work ethic that places safety and data quality as the highest priorities
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, with our customers
  • Experience with programing languages like Ladder Logic or NI LabVIEW
  • Experience-solving technical problems utilizing analytical thinking
  • Proven ability to work with minimal direction in a cross-functional team environment
