The Role

The FAE essential role is to utilize their extensive product knowledge and application expertise in recommending products, services, and best practices to end users, account team members, and sales channel partners.
In this role you will
  • Be the regional technical expert in gas purification and filtration and AMC filtration. It is expected that within twelve months the FAE will be able to work independently.
  • Support the sales teams with product training seminars: NPI, new applications, focused product initiatives, etc.
  • Support the sales teams in customer meetings: Develop presentation materials, competitive positioning strategy, follow-up action items for technical and commercial details.
  • Function effectively independently: know who, where and how to get information you do not have; seek answers to the end; don't give up.
  • Develop a broad perspective and knowledge of all aspects of front-end wafer manufacturing processes and how your products fit into the span of wafer fabrication.
  • Provide feedback to BU product management on industry trends, competitive threats, and opportunities discovered out of normal conduct of business.
  • Domestic travel in the range of 35-50%.
  • Maintain and report opportunities bi-weekly and monthly. Customer engagement list is updated monthly.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent technical field required; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Five years' experience as wafer fab process or equipment engineer or previous employment with a gas company, systems integrator, engineering company, OEM, etc. is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and present technical solutions.
  • Solid understanding of all wafer processing steps (photo, etch, epi, thin film, facilities bulk gas and HVAC).
  • Good interpersonal skills, self-starter, ability to work independently, and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in English.
