Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer – SIGINT Thread Lead for our program in San Diego, CA at the Autonomous Design Center of Excellence. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordination and collaboration with diverse engineering design teams to complete the development and fielding of the Triton Multi-Int SIGINT payloads, being the lead engineer for the entire SIGINT thread from requirements development through operational fielding. The selected candidate’s duties will include Conducting Systems Engineering activities across the full life-cycle focusing on SIGINT systems; understanding threat/target use cases to mature/refine requirements for development and improvement of the system through integration, testing and operations Leading IPTs in the concept development, initial requirements establishment, cost refinement, technical feasibility, architecture development and NAVAIR SIGINT mission utility analysis Definition of work-processes and workflows, identification of optimization methods, and risk identification and mitigation, and test and verification development and execution. Ensuring conversion of product requirements into NAVAIR SIGINT systems that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Leading teams that perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into AV and Ground Station hardware and software or engineering specifications. Providing technical resource for specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Traveling and supporting programmatic needs in design reviews and onsite integration with government customers and industry and government partners and subcontractors Qualifications - ExternalBasic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Math, Engineering)  with 14 years related engineering experience, OR Masters Degree in STEM field with 12 years engineering industry experience, OR a PhD in STEM with 9 Years of related experience Active Interim TS/SCI clearance or higher Direct experience with SIGINT (both ELINT and COMINT) mission planning, collection management, signal collection/exploitation, and dissemination/distribution of related products/data to and across US Navy tactical systems and US National Architectures Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in a STEM area with 12 years experience in NSA and / or Intelligence Community Experience in the NAVAIR SIGINT CONOPS across various world regions includng identification, development and application of signals intelligence sources and technologies Demonstrated experience in NAVAIR ELINT/COMINT mission CONOPS including planning, collection management, signal exploitation and dissemination of collected data. Strong interpersonal communication skills including experience directly interfacing with customer counterparts and providing input and influence into technical and procurement roadmaps. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
