Our Military Space Strategy & Business Development organization is seeking a **Business Development Staff Analyst** for the Space Security Mission Area\.

Reporting to the Space Security Missions Director of Strategy & Business Development, the team member will provide leadership of strategy and business development activities for Space Security Mission Area opportunities, including the intersection of strategic communications with capture\.

In this dynamic role you will be responsible for:

• Shaping / growing business within the Space Security mission area to include identification, qualification and capture of opportunities required to meet LRP \(Long range plans\) requirements, assesses and builds effective customer / teammate / internal relationships\.

• Working side\-by side with Program Management and engineering team members to translate customer needs \(current and anticipated\) into discriminating technical and business solutions for Lockheed Martin\.

• Assessing customer strategic capability gap requirements and advocating advanced program technology solutions, planning, business opportunity identification and validation, capture plan development and execution, and customer interaction management\.

• Working with LM communications and government affairs personnel to define, establish, and execute compelling stakeholder and influencer engagements\.

• Supporting Space Security business interests and related activities with; Space Government Affairs, Corporate Business Development, Corporate Strategic Development and others as required\.

**Typically has a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree\.**

**Basic Qualifications:**

• **Current TS/SCI clearance required prior to start\.**

• Experience and a current working knowledge of Department of Defense \(DoD\) and Intelligence Community \(IC\) customers and Space Security goals/objectives\.

• Experience working in direct contact with DoD, IC and other government and commercial customers to translate customer needs/requirements into aligned strategic objectives and capture strategies\.

• Demonstrated business acumen and technical ability to successfully influence and mange change in complex systems and environments\.

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with all levels of management, engineers, Govt officials and Functional employees\.

• Ability to travel domestically as needed\.

**Desired Skills:**

• Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in U\.S\. space programs\.

• Previous affiliation with the DoD and IC \(Government or Industry\) and ability to expand support across customers\.

• Current experience with Federally Funded Research and Development Centers, Labs and Space organizations

• Ability to leverage technical and managerial relationships to assist with the identification of opportunities that align with the Space Security capabilities to include Cyber, Information Technology Systems, Communications, Artificial Intelligence, Battle Management, Command, Control and Communications \(BMC3\), Space Domain Awareness \(SDA\), Resilience, Space Control and Space Ground Systems\.

• Demonstrated success leading capture teams, strategy development, and customer solutioning\.

• Subject Matter Expertise \(SME\) outside of direct proposal management role, but relevant to LM programs \(e\.g\. Project Management, Program Management, Strategic Planner experience\)\.

• Understand and manage Request for Proposal \(RFP\) compliance

• Executive level \(both corporate and customer\) presentation skills\.

• Microsoft suite including SharePoint\.
