Award-winning biopharmaceutical contract services organization is currently hiring a Process Engineer to support process development and tech. transfer of laboratory development to manufacturing..  This position is a Direct Hire. 
Job Description: 

The Process Engineer applies cell therapy and engineering expertise to complex process engineering projects in support of support process development and tech transfer to manufacturing. Under the direction of the Senior Process Engineer, they will execute laboratory studies to support transfer of new processes into Development.

Work on cross functional team consisting of representatives from Process Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, and Supply Chain in order to identify and implement deliverables for NPIs.
Develop relevant cell therapy unit operations in preparation for tech transfer of processes into manufacturing. 
Contribute to protocols and reports describing Process Engineering work. 
Support tech transfer activities by authoring relevant sections of MBRs and process transfer documentation describing how the process will be operated in manufacturing. 
Participate in training of the Manufacturing staff on new processes and technologies and provide on-the-floor support during tech transfer runs and beyond as necessary for critical process operations. 
Provide technical support for manufacturing of cell therapy products. This includes troubleshooting of process performance issues continued development of process improvements and efficiencies. 
Collaborate with and manufacturing to perform facility fit, tech transfer, and scale-up for new products with subsequent presentations to the client.

Education and Experience: B.S. in Biology or Biochemical Engineering or higher  (or equivalent). 
The candidate should have at least 3-5  years of experience in biopharmaceutical process development or process engineering, and at least 1 year of experience supporting cell therapy manufacturing.
Demonstrated history of working, or interest  in the biotechnology industry in the fields of equipment design, process design, troubleshooting, and tech transfer.
