Job Description:


  • Design and implement Parsons Virtual Design and construction strategy throughout a project’s life cycle from the conceptual phase to design and construction to asset management to decommissioning.
  • Provides leadership and guidance for BIM/ParADIM®, Parsons integrated BIM solution development and implementation for Asset Management/Digital Twin use cases.
  • Establish BIM/ParADIM® goals and objectives; develop workflows, best practices, QA/QC, and value proposition.
  • Develop policies, procedures and standards for maintaining BIM/ParADIM® implementation standardization across various Global Business Units and project offices. Implement quality control processes to ensure that BIM/ParADIM® standards are being followed.
  • Assures integration of the BIM/ParADIM® system with other Parsons systems, as necessary, to provide end users with necessary tools to meet their project assignments.
  • Collaborates with business users, clients and partners to gather, document, review and analyze feedback and create metrics to evaluate BIM/ParADIM® performance at the project and company level.
  • Manages the development, installation, testing and implementation of BIM/ParADIM® platform and recommends hardware and software. Works with IT Department to evaluate the most efficient and cost-effective tools for BIM/ParADIM® implementation.
  • Monitor and coordinate the development of post-contract BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and associated appendices. Plan manage and record BIM guided tours, BEP workshops, discipline specific workshops coordination and progress meetings.
  • Manage the BIM process such that the highest quality of deliverables is submitted for reviews. Manage and ensure project BIM’s are delivered as per agreed deliverable register, dates and CDE protocol. Perform QA/QC for WIP and milestone BIM package submissions in accordance with Project standards. Monitor, review and report BIM compliance against the agreed Model Production Delivery Table (MPDT), Level of Detail (LOD) and Asset Information Model (AIM) requirements.
  • Monitor and report on the development of an acceptable interference free / coordinated BIMs. Prepare own discipline model and/or content for internal BIM review/coordination meetings. Collaborate and coordinate with Project delivery team design-changes and model challenges.
  • Provide hands-on BIM software training for internal Design and Construction disciplines.
  • Perform reviews and support the Project delivery team to improve the quality of BIM/Design outputs. Validate and export BIM data to design schedules for internal Design or Commercial activities. Monitor and ensure accuracy of 4D BIM Construction sequence / progress reporting through 4D comparisons.
  • Monitor and report on the utilization of Field BIM applications during Construction activities. Audit site installation to ensure compliance against coordinated BIMs. Monitor the integration process and validate Testing and Commissioning data into BIMs Audit and validate accuracy of project As-built BIMs
  • Identify and manage staff requirements for effective BIM/ParADIM® implementation. Oversee hiring and training of BIM/ParADIM® personnel within the company. 
  • Provide BIM/ParADIM® promotional materials, presentations and training programs to enhance awareness among both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as the company’s BIM/ParADIM® expert in interviews, meetings and presentations and develop clear BIM/ParADIM® messaging for use in presentations and marketing. Participate in speaking opportunities within the industry and focus groups.
  • Facilitate ongoing collaboration among personnel including the sharing of best practices and lessons learned.

  • 4 - Year degree in Engineering/Construction (or related curriculum) or Computer Science discipline
  • 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership experience overseeing VDC implementation.
  • 5 - 10 years of progressive experience in engineering and construction.


  • An understanding of current, new, emerging and evolving Virtual Design and Construction software applications and technology including but not limited to Autodesk, Bentley and Trimble products.
  • Working knowledge of Dynamo, Python and/or JavaScript
  • Knowledge of construction, scheduling, estimating, cost controls and other project specific products and services as well as an understanding of how these systems relate to a project and construction environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform as well as a sound understanding of engineering information systems and construction processes.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, SQL databases
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and solving technical problems.
  • Ability to achieve business objectives successfully through effective collaboration with colleagues, team leaders, senior GBU managers and project staff.
  • Written and oral communication skills appropriate for the position, including the ability to speak with authority on BIM/ParADIM® technical issues in various professional settings and to persuade listeners regarding best approach to resolving user's problem (may include communication via telephone, in person, presenting to large groups, community events). Ability to write documents (may include policies and procedures and presentations). 
  • Working knowledge of software licensing models and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and diverse team environment combined with excellent interpersonal skills.

The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $100,000.00.
