THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

The Associate Relations Specialists support the day-to-day administration of associate relations activities for Ulta Beauty. They provide an open line of communication to the enterprise to ensure policies; procedures and disciplinary actions are followed properly. They provide clarification and resolve issues by being a mediator and problem solver. They conduct associate relations investigations to ensure all hotline and We Care, Let's Talk complaints and concerns are rectified consistently and timely. Act as escalation point for HRSC team, Social Media and Guest Services complaints. They compile and report out HR data points to identify trends both positive and negative to ensure alignment toward HR goals and company strategic imperatives.

The duties of the Associate Relations Specialist also center on achieving business objectives by identifying opportunities to solve business problems through broad and up-to-date knowledge of employment law, organizational behavior, change management, data analytics, best practices and company policy.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Associate Relations Investigations - Effective & Timely Processing of high risk Investigations - Coordinate intake, fact finding, documentation and recommended actions on associate investigations for assigned business region. Partner on/Support ADA interactive dialogue and accommodation needs assessment.
  • Performance Management - Performance Management - Provide guidance to field leaders and client groups on performance and policy administration and application.
  • Coaching through conflict - Advise field leaders on specific conflict situations and provide recommendations for handling. Provide guidance on corrective action administration and proper documentation
  • Business Metric Tracking and Analytics - Business Metric Tracking and Analytics - Analyze HR Metrics to help move the business forward with trends and metric analysis. Diagnose training opportunities.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Process Implementation - Ensure successful implementation of all new work
  • Targeted Projects - Timely completion of assigned project work
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

Qualified candidates will possess an undergraduate degree (related field), 5 years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, as well as excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem solving skills.

Additional requirements:
  • High level of discretion and judgment, particularly when dealing with confidential matters
  • Ability to investigate complex reports of conflict, harassment, and discrimination claims with precision
  • Ability to effectively interact with associates at all levels within the organization
  • Developed presentation skills
  • Ability to travel within assigned markets as needed. This may include air travel and the ability to rent a car.
  • Ability to adjust work schedule according to the business needs
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred
  • Technically proficient - particularly in MS Outlook, SAP, Word and Excel, with ability to learn additional programs and systems as needed.
