Software Engineer

What You'll Do:
  • Develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
  • Develop and maintain code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
  • Develop software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
  • Perform software project management and software supplier management functions.
  • Develop, select, tailor and deploy software processes, tools and metrics.
  • Execute and document software research and development projects.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
  • Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
  • Work under general direction.
  • Develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
  • Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
  • Works as a Continuous Integration Developer (DevSecOps SW Engineer) with experience with Jenkins, Atlassian tool suite (Bitbucket, Jira) and Artifactory (desired, not required).
  • Subcontractor technical product integration, VxWorks, C++, Virtual Machines, Embedded OS package installation, SW Driver installation, HW integration and build optimization, scripting and lab support.
  • Coordinate technical deliveries between domestically and international sub-contractors (deliveries may require installation, modification and/or build support)
  • Setup development environments, continuous build and deployment environments
  • Lab Support for various Programs
  • Automate smoke / sanity test utilizing scripts
  • General release mgmt. (bundling SW and documentation)
  • Setup and verify nightly builds for various programs
  • Setup and verify RBT automation for various programs
  • Setup and verify automated unit test frameworks
  • General release mgmt. for various programs
  • Write Confluence page instructions to assist with documentation of technical instruction

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, math, physics, or chemistry combined with 5+ years of relevant work experience; Mater's combined with 3+ years of relevant work experience; or PhD.
  • ABET accreditation is preferred.
