Phoenix Instabase Platform Engineer:
The Instabase Devops Engineer is responsible for deployment, operations, monitoring, trouble-shooting, and support of applications supporting Data Scientists, Modelers and Analysts. This includes performing devops tasks, application and underlying infrastructure support. The role ensures appropriate delivery of technology solutions in accordance with business requirements and objectives. The Instabase Devops Engineer also ensures the platform is positioned for compliance with IT policies and standards for agreed upon service levels.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Ensures the overall health of applications
• Work in an Agile scrum team
• Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems
• Deploy new releases of both vendor and in-house written applications using CI/CD principles
• Designs automation solutions to reduce the operational and management complexity of platforms
• Designs, implements, and maintains platform security
• Performs platform capacity planning and management
• Serves as an escalation point for production and/or platform issues
• Establishes best practices and guidelines for usage of platforms
• Works in partnership with internal development teams
Analytical Requirements:
• Have effective problem solving, organizational, decision-making, written, oral and interpersonal skills
• Drive ROI for the business by supporting an analytic tool (Instabase)
• Be able to generate written documentation of all work performed and utilize Agile methodologies and tools to plan and monitor project progress
• Desired candidate will have 7+ years in a devops role

Required Skills
• Extensive experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting, software installation, new builds and deployments
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts
• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and best practices
• Experience with cloud storage, load balancers, and network security.
Experience with the following technologies:
• Container (OpenShift)
• Server (Linux)
• Test automation tools
• CI/CD tools (Ansible, BitBucket, Artifactory)
• Ability to multi-task and address complex support issues in a mixed technology environment
• Works effectively in both team member and individual contributor roles
• SQL
Critical Nitche Skills:
• Container (OpenShift, S3)
• CI/CD tools (Ansible, BitBucket, Artifactory)
• Instabase experience is a plus
