Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our Baltimore, MD Space Systems Engineering team.

This position will support both concept and product development to deliver key solutions within the Northrop Grumman Corporation Space Systems Sector, Payloads and Ground Systems Division and will report to the System Engineering Integration and Test Department. The position will be responsible for supporting systems and network engineering tasks for space subsystems, payloads and/or vehicles.

These may include, but are not limited to:

- Hands on integration and test of Space flight hardware and software in a compact range (anechoic chamber) and clean room high bay

- Design and development of an innovative network architecture (hardware and software) to support test set control, data collection, processing and storage for the assembly integration and test of multiple Space payloads concurrently for a production program

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on the qualifications listed below.

This requisition may be filled at either level 3 or 4.

Basic Qualifications:

- Principal Network Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a STEM 5 years of relevant experience (or 3 years with Master of Science Degree or 0 years with PhD)

- Sr. Principal Network Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) & 9 years of relevant experience (or 7 years with Master of Science Degree or 4 years with PhD)

- Active TS or SCI clearance

- Network engineering experience with both computer networking hardware and software

Preferred Qualifications:

- Active TS/SCI clearance

- Network Architecture

- Database design

- Space experience

- Sensor/payload experience

- electronically scanned array

- Radar

- Processing, specifically On-Board Processing

- Space vehicle experience

- Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T)

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
