We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer responsible for the successful delivery of their assigned project.  To service and install across a large variety of industrial solutions. The work is diverse and challenging. Work involves Honeywell SCADA, DCSs, and Safety Systems along with advanced software applications e.g. plant historians.


The successful applicant will require being on call on a rotating roster. Although some routine service work is involved, a large portion of the workload will involve upgrading customer sites from previous Honeywell control systems to current technologies and the programming and commissioning of small systems on new installations. On occasions, helping project engineers on large projects will be required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Preferably 5 plus years of experience in delivering SCADA, DCSs, and Safety Systems along with advanced software applications e.g. plant historians

    • Experience with setting up and maintaining Networks
    • In depth knowledge of industrial instrumentation & control equipment
  • Responsible for technical delivery of Control Systems preventative and remedial maintenance

  • Analysis/Problem Assessment -Implementation of Control Systems projects, typically using Honeywell TPS and/or Experion controller and supervisory systems, and/or third-party PLC controllers.

  • Implement projects using Honeywell Tools and processes, provide input for constant improvement of processes.

  • Maintain, install and service DCS/SCADA packages and other software in the MES layer

  • Familiarity with wide variety of industrial plants and applications as applicable to control systems

  • Comply with Honeywell engineering processes tools and methodologies

  • Teamwork/Collaboration-Internal and external liaison with including Service and project progress reporting

  • Initiative - Identifying and acting upon, sales and service opportunities

  • Customer Service Orientation -Respond to customer call outs in a timely manner

  • Safety Awareness - Attend customer site on request and respond to needs

  • Provide Customer Service report (CSR) and technical reports as required

  • Manage, log and track system issues including Service Requests (SRs) raised for incident and Problem management


Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Degree qualification in an engineering discipline, Electrical/Mechatronics engineering - preferred.

  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license – mandatory

  • On call support

  • Exceptional computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft software packages

  • Outstanding communications skills. The ability to communicate complex issues concisely and with clarity

  • Experience with direct customer contact

  • Understanding of industrial work culture

  • Be able to work in a team environment
