Market Job Description


The Business Risk and Control team is responsible for partnering with the relevant business group to identify, assess, manage and mitigate current and emerging risk exposures associated with their activities and operations. Monitors, measures, evaluates, and reports on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group and enterprise function. In partnership with business groups, assists with the development, implementation, and monitoring of business-specific programs that identify, assess, and mitigate risk and helps to escalate risks where necessary if risk boundaries or limits are triggered. Provides support in the interpretation of policy, guidelines, and governance programs as front line liaison to Independent Risk Management area for low risk enterprise risk programs. Supports business with risk mitigation strategies, business processes and controls that effectively mitigate risks and appropriately address requirements of applicable statutes, regulations, and risk governance documents. Runs periodic reporting for IRM, program oversight committees and other key stakeholders. Supports processes reflective of the current business environment. Participates in and provides support for initiatives with low risk. Internal interaction to support team. Limited to no external interaction. Works with frequent supervision and does not manage other team members.



Market Skills and Certifications


Essential Qualifications:

  • Candidate (internal) must be a graduate of any degree in College (preferably in Business, Economics, and Finance)
  • Candidate must have 3+ years of overall experience in compliance and/or operational risk management (includes experience with direct accountability for compliance or operational risk) and Business Banking (sales, sales support, and client support experience) or any combination thereof, large financial companies
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Banking/financial services experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Good understanding of Retail or Business Banking compliance controls, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience in Operational Risk Management in Financial Services Industry
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to think creatively to find innovative solutions to complex analytical questions
  • Candidates must be flexible on shift schedule
  • Work location: McKinley Hill, BGC, Taguig City
