The Wholesale Digital & Transformation Technology group is seeking a Software Sr Engineer that will be a lead developer and act in the highest-level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives. Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs. Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors. Plans, performs, and acts as the lead for the most complex platform design, development and testing activities. Acts as a mentor to the development team member in program development, testing, implementation and support process.  This individual is going to work on On-boarding application for Commercial Bank customers. It is a workflow and case management tool which enables collaboration between Front office, Financial Crimes & Product fulfillment teams. The application has milestones, tracking and visibility features of the customer On-boarding process.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze software requirements and highly complex user requirements to determine feasibility of design and implementation balancing between functional and user experience factors
  • Fill a technical lead role on strategic projects within the organization with an ability to transfer knowledge to members of the team and act as an expert, value added resource.
  • Proven problem solving abilities with a history of building reliable and high performance software solutions.
  • Assure quality, Security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas.
  • Lead and coordinate maintenance of software systems and installation/upgrade of software systems.
  • Develops, executes and manages the maintenance of security plans, risk assessments, recovery planning, and incident management, testing procedures, training and reporting on the execution of deliverables designed for program maturity.
  • Expert knowledge of Jira for project management tracking (Epic, Story, and Issue management)
  • Develop original and innovative solutions to complex challenges and provides coding guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Be well-informed in general technology trends (Cloud, Web technologies etc.,) and be able to make recommendations based on our business needs.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of UI (User Interface) experience using one or a combination of the following: Angular, React JS
  • 7+ years of Web Front-End Layout and design experience



Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 4 + years of experience with server administration and job creation using Jenkins Continuous Integration server
  • Git or GitHub experience
  • Strong knowledge of technology with emphasis on the following: development operations, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), (including quality assurance, problem and incident management, configuration management, application infrastructure services (e.g. middleware), platform management, information security architecture, IAM (identity and access management), enterprise architecture, cloud, third party hosted solutions, application risk assessments, information management, enterprise data, CRM services, and books and records)
  • Knowledge and understanding of API programming with Perl, XML, REST or JSON
  • Knowledge and understanding of cloud computing
  • Ability to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
  • Experience with partner/collaboration efforts with a Business Banking Group and/or a Wholesale group (RCBO)
