The Role

Entegris operates globally and is in need of supporting solutions across our converging IT/OT landscape. The OT Solution Architect role is based out of Chaska, MN with global responsibility for architecting solutions to democratize and connect business data that is critical to our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will work with a dedicated team to help define the data requirements to and from Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Laboratories (LIMS Systems), and other solutions found in the manufacturing space. You will help to establish best practices, standards and identify opportunities for leveraging data and technology that will drive efficiency and excellence in manufacturing.

Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of collaboration across functional groups, specifically IT, Quality and Operations are required to effectively modernize our factories in an increasingly digital world. In this newly formed position, the OT Solutions Architect must have a solid understanding of SAP manufacturing business processes, data, databases, and data flows, as well as the ability to understand the integration between SAP and connected systems in the manufacturing environment. A strong understanding of the overall architecture of OT & IT environments and an ability to communicate a connected vision is critical to the success of this position.
In this role you will
  • Develop and design end-to-end Industrial data solutions (including pros/cons and cost analysis).
  • Work directly with other stakeholders to help identify business case requirements and to demonstrate ROI when implementing Entegris' OT data solutions.
  • Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies and methodologies to enable new and efficient access to data and improved process optimization.
  • Engage with various businesses to support end-to-end OT installation, implementation and integration testing.
  • Learn and apply knowledge of IT/OT convergence and IT best practices.
  • Identify data sources and destinations for use in the development of the overall architecture that enables the flow of information between Operations and Enterprise systems.
  • Work closely with project managers and project management teams to ensure the Architecture Strategy/ Solution plans are being executed on by being proactive to ensure timely execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised.
  • Work closely with Enterprise Architects for the evolution of enterprise solutions/ applications/ other technologies.
  • Learn and understand key OT use cases and UI/UX design considerations and translate unique requirements into a fully functional OT implementation(s). Will regularly work in Agile mode with evolving requirements and will assist to resolve platform and application performance issues with Operations.
  • Lead technical presentations and proof of concepts to communicate and demonstrate the value and capabilities across stakeholder leadership.
  • Consultation and partnership with leaders in the Development/Business Process areas of SAP.
  • Assist to identify potential security risks and consult as needed to mitigate.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent and relevant experience.
  • Minimium of 5 years of demonstrated experience delivering architecture solutions to meet business outcomes in a complex environment.
  • Have a proven background designing and architecting technical solutions, with experience in an Enterprise environment. Strong background in architecture best practices, diagrams and/or methods.
  • General understanding of SAP Production Planning module (in SAP ECC) functionality including knowledge of IBP, MRP, MES and others as they relate to manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of common data and software interfaces including restful API and JSON (and others) preferred.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to conduct presentations as a technical liaison and assist in value proposals
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency utilizing programs such as Microsoft Office applications,
  • Knowledge and competency in the use of analytical tools and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of common database structures (SQL & Oracle), data mining, functionality and use preferred.
  • Ability to efficiently, clearly, and professionally communicate by both verbal and written English.
  • Strong analytics and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze issues quickly
  • Ability to identify and implement new technologies that democratize data, enhance business value, and enable data driven decisions.
  • Logical thinking, high analytical capability, and the ability to understand complex software development.
  • Experience in CamLine or MES a plus
  • Travel is a requirement of this position.
