DESCRIPTION Under the direction of the UC San Diego Health Physician Group leadership, the Practice Manager oversees assigned unit(s) in one or more various locations; has broad and independent responsibilities for planning, developing and managing administrative and programmatic operations as well as full fiscal oversight to include revenue management of enhancement, authorization procedures, provider RVU production and session productivity to maximize efficiencies and economies of scales. Serves in conjunction with site medical directors, coordinating agenda and outcomes. Analyzes all areas of clinic operations, conducts all aspects of personnel management to include recruitment, performance management, training, compensation oversight, and labor relations issues. Oversees all TJC requirements and CQI projects throughout the department. Assures accurate timekeeping and payroll for all departmental employees. Incumbent will work with independence in applying clinical and business judgment, management concepts and provide counseling to all site clinic faculty, operations manager and staff on daily operational issues. UC San Diego Health Community Care Division is brand new health system initiative of bringing healthcare closer to all of San Diego Communities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training. A minimum of five (5+) or more years of relevant experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A Master's Degree or a combination of education and experience. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory/management experience in a large Outpatient, Primary Care/Urgent Care (or like) clinic environment. Lean Six Sigma Process Improvement Experience SPECIAL CONDITIONS Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
