HSBC's Fixed Income Research is looking for an Associate-Director to join their LatAm-Rates research strategy team. The role will be responsible for providing in-depth research analysis on LatAm rates market to external and internal stakeholders with regular research publications and will report to both the regional Head of LatAm Rates Research and the Head of Global EM Rates Research.

Responsibilities
  • Develop macro thematic views and generate trade ideas for global institutional investors and corporate clients;
  • Maintain and build the HSBC brand through regular research publications, client marketing, roadshows, client conference calls;
  • Create, maintain and update fixed income research models and database;
  • Track and analyse regulatory changes and their impact on covered markets within LatAm;
  • Respond to both internal and external client requests for information, calls, Zoom meetings and data independently and in a timely and accurate manner.


Qualifications

Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions
  • Bachelor's degree and above.
  • Competitive proficiency in written and spoken English. Spanish and/or Portuguese would be a plus;
  • +4 years work experience;
  • Understanding of macroeconomic, fixed income market and interest rate analysis;
  • Knowledge of financial databases such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and financial modelling skill;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Organized; diligent; attention to detail; multi-task; team work;
  • Candidates who are CFA Charter holders or pursuing CFA will be preferred.
