Position Description: PCT Full-Time NIghts 6p-6a
Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to acutely and/or non-acutely ill patients.  Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment.  All under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or unit Director.  The Certified Nursing Assistant performs various patient care activities necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.  The position's tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Required to float to units within the hospital as needed for work assignment.
  • Bathes, dresses/undresses patients, and assists with other personal hygiene needs
  • Serves and collects food trays.  Assists with patient feeding.
  • Transports, positions, and drapes patients for exams and treatments.
  • Assists patients in ambulating.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
  • Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training program. 
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
  • Certification as a Nurse Assistant  (Utah C.N.A Registry preferred) 
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
  • Six (6) months to one year of nursing related work experience preferred.
