Key Responsibilities
  • Operate multiple information technology controls and appliances. Provide escalation support for security incidents. Conduct information security vulnerability assessments.
  • Update existing or create new information security metrics. 
  • Provide information security awareness and training.
  • Follow and contribute to maintenance of information security standards, procedures and guidelines. Assist in configuring and implementing appropriate application security controls
  • Perform reviews to identify and trouble shoot security issues.
  • Provide evaluation feedback for new or updates to security solutions.
  • Perform solution proof of concept evaluations of on-premise & Cloud services.
  • Support internal and external assessments and audits.
  • Assists contingent workers in project execution. Adheres to compliance processes and procedures

Job Description:

Information Security analyst role will serve as an expert and be responsible for security operations technical analysis, assessment and recommendations in the areas of real-time security situational awareness, operational network & Identity management system and applications systems security monitoring with 7+ Years of direct industry experience


  • Assist on responses to security incidents as well as investigation of security breaches, and provide information associated with such breaches as necessary.
  • Work with external vendors as appropriate for items such as scanning, incident response and penetration testing.
  • Assess information from various security logging systems and take appropriate actions
  • Conduct information security risk assessments based on industry standards (NIST, ISO, SANS Critical Security Controls).
  • Respond to advisory service requests to address and drive thru for closure as needed.
  • Conduct security assessment on internal applications/infrastructure and deliver reports detailing assessment observations and associated recommendations for information security program development to help the client meet security and compliance standards.
  • Able to provide an independent or internal review of security controls and information systems
  • Identify and evaluate technology risks, controls which mitigate risks, and the related opportunities for control improvements
  • Build security assessment processes & tools to review the security controls for cloud-based applications
  • Supply actionable recommendations to other teams within Applied Materials, to bolster cyber security efforts
  • Provide additional support and insight to internal teams as requested, assisting with incident investigation as needed
  • Display strong technical aptitude with IT Security, Enterprise Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Antivirus, Web and Email Security, Server and application monitoring, Windows and Linux based Web Services.


The candidate must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science & Engineering or technical discipline is required. Minimum of 7+ years of experience is required; relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Experience with Security Operations, Incident Response, Threat Hunting and Assurance methodologies
  • Experience in using standard Security Assessment and Penetration Testing tools.
  • Knowledge on application security, EDR, email security, Identity management, networks, firewalls and multiple operating systems.
  • Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management
  • Understanding of multiple security frameworks
  • The individual must be an independent, confident, persistent and results-oriented individual - who contributes ideas and opinions to ensure sound solutions are implemented. 
  • Able to work as part of a virtual global team with cultural, language, and time zone differences. Able to deal with ambiguity and work independently with minimal supervision/guidance. 
  • Excellent time management skills i.e. able to juggle several operational issues.
  • Excellent English communication and influencing skills. 
  • Solid oral and written communications, problem solving, commitment to task, ability to lead and influence change.

Desirable Certifications:

  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
  • CEH – Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
