The Software Development Engineer in Test SDET supports the development of automated testing by developing and maintaining automated scripts while promoting reusable components and maintainability. Responsibilities also include execution of scripts and results analysis diagnosing failures and taking appropriate action to resolve. Works with Automation Architect Lead to identify functionality and enhancements to the framework. The SDET is actively involved in a scrum team and will gain a strong understanding of the product under test. Promotes, establishes, and improves standards and processes, and overall QA effectiveness.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITESCreate reusable, extendable, and sustainable automation test case suite by influencing design for testing strategies within the scrum teamsMonitor automated testing progress and results, make modifications and adjustments able to articulate automation progress with confidenceEstimate automation efforts identify and suggest strategies for meeting project deadlinesIdentifies, communicates, and provides solutions to issues that impact automation efforts and or project scheduleSubject Matter Expert on assigned project show growing depth of product knowledgeCreates, ensures adherence, and maintains appropriate standards and quality procedures within scrum teamEscalates to Automation Lead and or Quality Assurance Manager as needed in a clear, concise, and timely mannerMentor other scrum team members to expand knowledge and abilities of others to perform automated testingActively cultivate collaborative relationships across the team, business units and cross division partnersIdentify, influence, promote and drive forward Quality Assurance best practices for both manual and automated testing

Education4 year degree in Computer Science or applicable field or related experienceExperienceMinimum 3 years experience performing software testing or related functionsMinimum 2 years experience in software automation testing

Pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, if you are located in Colorado, the expected salary range for this role is 57,500 - 96,00 and information on benefits offered is here. If you are not located in Colorado, the salary range may be different.
