The successful candidate will join a team of technology professionals whose responsibility is to provide best in class IT services to University staff, students and mentors. The candidate will provide guidance and recommend solutions for implementation; he/she will participate in enterprise technology projects of various sizes that support the objectives of the Institution. The candidate will join a team providing direct support of the University’s technology infrastructure systems, including servers (hardware and NOS), virtualization, Active Directory, Microsoft365/Azure, cloud services, enterprise storage and backup systems. In addition, the candidate will function as third tier support for computer desktops/laptops, including support of both hardware and software. This is a position with potential to grow within the organizational structure as a member of a dynamic technology team.

Examples of Work:

- Work with Microsoft365, providing support for applications and systems. - Integrate cloud services within TESU infrastructure environment. - Installation and configuration of company-supported computer software, including commercial, third-party and in-house developed programs and systems. - Assist with management of Active Directory and Group Policies. - Installation and configuration of computer hardware, including servers, storage systems, personal computers, monitors, printers and other peripheral equipment. - Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair complex technology problems, including identification of source, whether network, software, hardware or user, correction of problem, or, where necessary, elevation to higher-level or outside resource. - Upgrade computer hardware and software, including flashes, patches and service releases. - Provide support for TESU desktops/laptops & applications. - Maintain and update infrastructure documentation, policies and knowledgebase articles. - Analyze requests for feasibility and proposed alternatives for meeting users' needs. - Other duties and responsibilities, as directed.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange and Office365. - Working knowledge of computer systems hardware and software. - Advanced skills creating and maintaining technical and end-user documentation. - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft365 offerings. - Support deployed applications, application and delivery environments, including virtualization, clustering, SQL Server and anti-virus solutions; troubleshoot, diagnose and correct system and user-reported problems. - Install and configure software, including operating systems (NOS), security systems, backup services and other systems, plus custom applications. - Ability to interact with end users effectively and implement design and development changes to meet their needs. - Knowledge of higher education administrative software packages. - Support student and staff use of University services including access to the University's network, wired and wireless, print and file services. - Monitor and maintain database integrity. - Support servers and associated hardware. - Assist in creation and implementation of servers and network strategies. - Keep abreast of server and network-related technologies to assure the TESU systems are up-to-date, reliable, stable and secure. - Monitor system performance using standard monitoring utilities. - Support end-users and Help Desk staff. - Maintain and update infrastructure documentation and policies. - Other duties and responsibilities, as directed.


Education: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree supplemented by a Master's degree in a field related to the position to be filled or equivalency as determined by the appointing authority. 

Experience: Two years professional experience in a field that is directly related to the functions of the position to be filled or equivalency as determined by the appointing authority

Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute required experience on a year-for-year basis (30 credit hours are considered one year of college).

A Doctor of Philosophy degree or a Doctor of Education degree may be substituted for two years of the required experience. How to Apply:
