Eaton’s Aero Space sector is currently seeking a Test Equipment Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Grand Rapids, MI location.

Position Overview:

Responsible of designing, maintaining and repairing production, laboratory and test equipment, including functional tests, vibration systems, environmental test chambers. Tasks require knowledge and experience maintaining and repairing electromechanical equipment and systems, interaction with electrical, mechanical and electronic components,

In this function you will:

+ Maintain production and laboratory test equipment including vibration system and environment test chambers.

+ Conduct development and qualification tests in accordance with Engineering test requests, drawings, blueprints and procedures

+ Analysis and troubleshooting of test equipment problems.

+ Design and build basic test setups

+ Drive customer satisfaction for internal and external customer groups.

+ Collection, analysis and recording of test data.

+ Conduct verification of test equipment

+ Maintain drawing and software configuration

+ Conduct basic troubleshooting and repair of test equipment

Other tasks:

+ Carry out ESWP and LOTO in daily tasks

+ Comply with Eaton MESH objectives and safety standards.

+ Maintain complete and accurate records in databases and internal systems

+ Labor reporting as required.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

+ Requires and Associates Degree in a technical field (technology/engineering) or 3 years’ experience in a technical field

+ Knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment and troubleshooting test failures

+ Knowledge of dynamic electro-mechanical systems and mechanical power train devices, electronics and basics of programming.

+ Effective use of tact and persuasion in dealing with personnel involved with manufacturing processes

+ This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred qualifications:

Knowledge of LabVIEW is a preferred
