Lead the Growth and Success of RPO Services within $2+ Billion-Dollar Innovator in Healthcare Workforce Solutions

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Group President & COO, Strategic Talent Solutions, as the President, Recruitment Process Outsourcing, you will have full P&L responsibility for leading and managing all aspects and activities of the RPO business -- including business development, sales and client service delivery. You will lead a team of approximately six direct reports who are located throughout the U.S. The total team consists of +/- 100 employees that are a mix of full and part time employees, augmented with temporary recruiters. Under your leadership, they will be charged with implementing innovative business practices and operational improvements to enhance and expand the business. It's also important to note that you will be a member of the Strategic Talent Solutions Leadership Team responsible for aligning and growing the portfolio of services for significant growth and value contribution to the company.

Additionally, three important areas of focus will include the following:
  • Strategic: address the opportunities and challenges in the RPO services and offerings, assess market trends, and determine viable practices and market opportunities. From this, update the business strategy and action plan to implement appropriate innovative solutions that optimize RPO's ability to expand and grow revenue. This includes strategies to further scale the business, gain efficiencies in the operating model (including strategic locations) and expand existing and new clients, segments and offerings.
  • Operational: responsible for leading and managing the business day-to-day, ensuring delighted clients, enhancing processes and performance, and achieving expected profitability.
  • Talent Management: attract, develop and retain a talented and engaged management team and workforce and develop a "high-performance" culture, characterized by high integrity, positive morale, sound judgment, effectiveness, productivity, teamwork and client service centricity.

Role Specifics

Additionally, this leadership role in AMN Healthcare will include the following key duties and responsibilities. More specifically, you will:
  • Set and execute the vision/plan for the enhancement of current solutions and operations, refine the value we deliver to clients, and identify short- and long-term opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, business unit leaders, delivery teams, clients, sales / channel partners, and account managers to inform growth strategies and operational improvements.
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day business, actively engaging and employing informed business operations decisions consistent with corporate objectives.
  • Lead and advise a best-in-class sales and operational team that exceeds client expectations and foster a team that is inspired and engaged, that knows their leader supports them in reaching their personal and professional goals.
  • Benchmark, analyze and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of RPO.
  • Improve overall business operations and effectiveness, and measure performance against industry best practices to continuously seek opportunities to improve.
  • Develop market insight and working knowledge of the industry, trends and best practices to assure AMN is competitive and at the leading edge of developing and delivering RPO services.
  • Identify capabilities, assets and best practices within AMN that can be deployed to RPO operations and delivery platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with all governance programs and establish policies and procedures to meet business needs and changes.
  • Accountable to meeting and exceeding client satisfaction and service expectations.
  • Oversee, identify and anticipate issues, including appropriate risk and crisis management.
  • Support marketing and sales efforts including developing vision, market value propositions, thought leadership, offering / solution definition and pricing and personal involvement when needed in business development opportunities.
  • Identify ways to enable revenue growth by enhancing the tools, processes and culture of performance, as well as manage the business unit expense budget to meet profitability expectations.
  • Hire, retain and inspire team members in RPO and consistently live by the core values of AMN.
  • Foster effective partnerships with all AMN Corporate and Shared Services functions in sales, operations and business management functions.

The Ideal Candidate

To be a strong fit for this opportunity you will have the following skills and qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred but not required.
  • 8 - 10 years of experience leading teams. A background in any of the following industries / functional areas will be beneficial: RPO, healthcare staffing, human resources outsourcing, talent acquisition/ management and/or workforce management.
  • Experience managing a P&L of +/- $50 M.
  • Deep experience with strategy development and execution.
  • Demonstrated success in leading RPO teams/services.
  • Experience with a highly distributed workforce.
  • An inclusive and proactive leadership style with the ability to lead, manage and grow direct and non-direct reports and also drive results through others.
  • Strong technical experience including familiarity with a variety of ATS platforms, CRMs and other databases / software programs.
  • Very strong analytical skills to be able to manage complex problems using several techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills of complex and sophisticated ideas to a range of key stakeholders, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to demonstrate influencing and negotiating skills to align potentially conflicting views with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to challenge systems, processes and people in order to achieve business objectives using an expert knowledge base.

The ideal candidate will live in either Dallas, Texas or Boca Raton, Florida.

You should also be willing and able to travel approximately 50 percent of the time when regular travel resumes.
