About the Role:

We have two Manager, Project Planning positions we are currently recruiting for. This individual will provide project planning to develop detailed and integrated project plans for the GPTs, sub-teams and regions. Plans are aligned across functions and deliverable progress is actively managed. Provide support for enterprise-level projects, as appropriate. Own the monthly IPP process and ensure accurate timely IPP issuance. Develop Issue/Risk mitigation plans in conjunction with sub-team leaders.

This is a non-supervisory role.

Additional representative responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

Takes the lead in cross functional planning for GPT sub-teams and task forces
  • Close relationship with PM lead to understand program and the objectives needed from the GPT sub-teams and functions, regular 1:1's and attend PM meetings as needed to understand program elements.
  • Own the timelines/risks/resources for the GPT sub-teams and ensure PM is integrating sub-team assumptions into MPP.
  • Project planning to develop detailed and integrated project plans for the GPT sub-teams and regions. Plans are aligned across functions and deliverable progress is tracked and managed.
  • Takes responsibility for the integration of project plans across functions, negotiation of strategy implementation and active management of plan.
  • Partner with the GPT Sub-team leads and Program Manager to support project changes or problems. Meeting with team leads and sub-teams to mitigate problem risks and provide mitigation planning or strategy change planning.
  • Lead team in contingency and alternative path planning activities to support strategic change or risk materialization.
  • Ensure Critical Path and Near Critical Paths are correctly identified and monitored working with the Functions.
  • Co-leads GPT sub-team meetings with functional owner, building relationships and trust to proactively address team goals.

Maintains the Integrated project plan (IPP)
  • Takes responsibility for monthly issuance of IPP and review process for seamless month to month IPP development.
  • Check monthly IPP changes against project plan to ensure consistency.
  • Escalate quality risks to Program Management lead.

Provides project planning for Enterprise Projects
  • Develop & track plans for large enterprise projects, as appropriate

Develop tools and process for GPT sub-teams
  • Creating tools / process for tactical cross-functional planning at GPT Sub-team level.
  • Partnering with PM to support detailed analytics from MPP roll out strategy changes to GPT sub-teams.
  • Creation of standardized tools and methodologies across PM
PM training lead and creation of tools and processes
  • Development and maintenance of the organizational PM training. Partnership with those whose role is a PM within their function to support sharing of tools and PM methodology that support GPT sub-team.
  • Training on how to create project plans for individual functions upon request.
  • Enhancing PM learning techniques & tools across the organization.

Partner with PM to support effective Team/sub team/Task Force governance.
  • Develop R&R for GPT Sub-teams, task forces (and operations committee initiatives?) to next major program milestone
  • Partnering with PM team to understand the program, strategy and priorities for each sub-team.
  • Ensuring appropriate governance is in place

Functional project involvement
  • Take part in/lead Program Management/Organizational initiatives, as needed.


About You:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • PMP Certification Preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing detailed project plans and leading teams in development and maintenance of planning activities
  • In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skill
  • Experience in managing projects in a team environment, partnering with team leads to provide tactical support, good meeting management.

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 10%, Domestic and/or International travel not required on a regular basis.
