The Outpatient Therapy Coordinator assists Director with development of Quality Indicators for Outpatient Services and provide ongoing monitoring of Indicators.  Assesses patient needs for the enhancement of outpatient programming to ensure optimum patient outcomes.  Recognizes and reports signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect to physician(s) and Department Director and/or appropriate agency.  Contributes to a culture of patient centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment.

Largo Medical Center is an all private room, 455-bed statutory teaching hospital serving Tampa Bay area residents from three locations in Pinellas County.  The hospital’s Transplant Institute of Florida performs kidney and liver transplants, and the hospital recently added an LVAD program.

The hospital features a wide of comprehensive programs including behavioral health, Florida Breast Institute, cardiovascular services, clinical research, emergency care, imaging and diagnostic services, the Florida Orthopedic Pavilion, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, spine and neurological care at the Florida Spine & Neuro Center and weight loss/bariatric surgery at the Florida Bariatric Centers.

Qualifications

Education:

Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field                              

Experience:

Five (5) years experience in a mental health setting or health care field is preferred with experience in outpatient as will as med/surg settings.      

Licensure:

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Marital/Family Therapist (MT) or other equivalent license.                                       

Training:

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required. Fingerprints upon hire.

Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) required.

New hire/transfer into higher skill level must obtain within 6 months.  Required to work under CPI credentialed employee until training certificate obtained.
