Job Summary and Qualifications

An Ultrasound Technologist works under the direction of a Radiologist, performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment. Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as a number one and to put forth the utmost quality as an ultrasonographer.  


What you will do in this role:

  • Verify the Ultrasound request for every exam matches the Physicians order, verify Patient’s Name and Birth date.
  • Perform all Ultrasound examinations according to ACR standards, department, organizational, and medical staff policies. 
  • Abide by all Policy and Procedures for patient exams, including system processes and patient interview skills. 
  • Can perform newly assigned duties or policies independently after adequate explanation and training.  

What qualifications you will need:

  • Technical School Diploma or Certificate in: - Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Required
  • Current National Licensure in: - ARDMS - Required
  • CPR Certification - Required
  • Experience is Preferred
