Data Management and Insights (DMI) is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. Our work enables Wells Fargo to empower and inform our team members, deliver exceptional experiences for our customers, and meet the elevated expectations of our regulators. The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers' financial needs.

About the Role

Internally this role is a Data Management Consultant 1
The role of the Domain Services Analyst is collaborate with the Data Domain Managers or Relationship managers to coordinate activities across Application Business Data Owners (ABO), Application Operations Owners (AOO), Technology Managers (TM), application and architecture teams and other Data Management and Insights (DMI) teams to facilitate the completion of the Wells Fargo Data Management Policy artifacts (metadata and Data Quality) in a timely and efficient manner. Dedicated Analysts will be assigned to each domain and functional area to gain relevant subject matter expertise that will help with successful execution of work. The Analyst will support the work efforts and delivery team with the following responsibilities.


  • Collaborates on strategic initiatives for data governance, data quality and metadata activities.

  • Provide direction, clarity and guidance on policy, process and template usage

  • Support Application Business Data Owners and Technology Manager with analysis of artifacts that helps identify template contents

  • Provide guidance on identification of core data elements including System Of Record (SOR) designation and assignment of business criticality

  • Work with application and technology managers to complete their assigned application templates

  • Facilitate completion of the business information into templates and conduct required meetings to ensure documentation meets current standards and best practices.

  • Analyze and document data quality measures to ensure they adequately meet the Data Management Policy compliance expectations.

  • Facilitate the process and steps needed to complete recertification of templates

Market Skills and Certifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology and Data Management

  • 3+ years of experience with Metadata/Data dictionaries management including technical/business content and data lineage

  • 3+ years of experience with Data Quality Assessment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with remote teams

  • Experience in Data mapping and data profiling will be added advantage

  • Experience in facilitating and hosting conference calls

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Solid experience with MS Excel

  • Banking or Financial Services experience
