As an **Electronics Principal Engineer** , you will serve as technical lead for the development of a sophisticated state\-of\-the\-art Avionics product in an extraordinary integrated product development environment\.


• Electrical performance and integration

• Power modeling

• Channelization/electrical interconnect management

• Compatibility analysis

• Electrical subsystem designs

• Ensure compliance with the spacecraft level technical baseline, maintaining end\-to\-end compatibility, functional allocations and margins

• Lead a large team of engineers in all phases of engineering lifecycle from design through production and sustainment

• Evaluate competing solutions for spacecraft design, command and control and mission data processing

• Oversee complex trades to establish the baseline architecture, incorporating components from multiple heritage systems as well as newly developed systems

• Serve as Electrical Subject Matter Expert \(SME\) and support the Chief Engineer and Chief Systems Engineer in making sound technical decisions\.

• Serve as an advocate for the missile throughout its lifecycle, from requirements definition through mission operations

• Ensure that the missile aligns with both the Command Media and program technical requirements, and resists inappropriate compromise and risk, checks programmatic decisions, and balances technical performance, cost, schedule, and risk, while ensuring mission success

• Participate in developing and executing critical development program key reviews such as System Requirements Review \(SRR\), Preliminary Design Review \(SDR\), System Design Review \(SDR\), Critical Design Review \(CDR\)\.


• 20\+ years of professional experience for this role\.

• Active DoD **Secret clearance** , thus you are a **US Citizen** \.

**Basic Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education\.

• Design, integration, test and/or operations expertise at system and subsystem levels for high reliability hardware\.

• Experience in technical leadership role and driving issues/challenges to closure as well as having difficult conversations with stakeholders and teammates\.

• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, thus you are a US Citizen\.

**Desired Skills:**

• Prior experience as missile or spacecraft electrical subsystem/component CPE \.

• Experience in major acquisition program\.

• Electrical design and integration \(power modeling, electrical compatibility analysis, etc\.\)\.

• Extensive Experience with Missile electrical or electronic subsystems including but not limited to: Flight Termination, Telemetry, Power Distribution, Guidance Navigation & Control, and Integrating flight software and databases

• Creating/modifying system design artifacts per the requirements baseline\.

• Extensive technical understanding of the assigned product, accepting responsibility and accountability, and exercising authority including stopping production, test, or a launch

• Willingness to accept 24/7 availability commitment with Delegate and CPE hierarchy support as needed\.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex design information, technical decisions and issues to both highly technical and non\-technical reviewers\.

• Ability to evaluate data from missile subsystem providers \(e\.g\. bus, payload\) and demonstrate compatibility, assess requirements compliance, identify and resolve risks, and implement opportunities for improved solutions vs\. system requirements\.

• Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of complex problems and train others in their application\.

• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering\.
