This position is for Asheville Specialty Hospital with a September 6th start date. 

A little information about the Asheville Specialty Hospital:

  • Located in Asheville, NC on the 4th Floor of the St Joe’s Mission Health Campus
  • Asheville Specialty Hospital (ASH) is a licensed long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) offering a unique treatment approach for complex medical conditions by designing an individualized treatment plan in cooperation with your medical provider. We are a Joint Commission accredited and CMS certified hospital. Our approach to care is family-oriented, providing a compassionate atmosphere that improves outcomes and values family as a part of the treatment and recovery process. Our low staff-to-patient ratio allows us to provide intensive, highly skilled treatment and therapeutic care.
  • At ASH, patients are admitted from an acute care hospital, often from intensive care or step down units, and have an average length of stay at ASH of 30 days. Most patients are medically complex requiring multispecialty medical services provided by board-certified physicians and/or nurse practitioners making daily rounds and registered nurses providing 24-hour complete care.

 

Role Summary: Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.

Required Education: Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within 4 years of hire date into RN position. Previous signed BSN commitment letter OR grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions may be approved with CNO System Council approval.
