  • Requires specialized in depth knowledge and expertise in multiple technologies to provide innovative solutions, solve complex problems, and influence strategy and process.   • Technical SME for 2 or more disciplines/technologies and/or processes, Identify and execute continuous improvement projects for existing systems, Recommend architectural changes as perceived needs arise, Serve as single-technology workgroup lead for operational contractors
  • Resolve more complex problem tickets, Identify and resolve problem level tickets, Respond and lead multiple system outages, Support cross functional initiatives as required 
  • Defines and develops IT project portfolio management compliance KPIs.  Coordinates project portfolio reivews, resource planning, and vendor performance reviews.
  • Conducts internal/external reviews and audits, collaborating on internal and external expectations. Coordinates resolutions of audit findings.
  • Monitors and reports on core IT compliance processes, including project and program management methodology and documentation.
  • Manages contingent workers for both project and support Services and project execution.  Responsible for timely onboarding, offboarding and renewal of contingent workers and review and approval of contingent workers timesheets.  Enforces adherence to compliance processes and procedures.

Cloud Engineer (AWS, Automation)

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be tasked to lead, architect and develop automated technical solutions for various on premise or Cloud based requirements. Knowing a wide range of technologies in term of vertical and horizontal breadths, you will optimize, enhance and support applications in the design and deploy of scalable and highly available solutions. You will also be responsible for the overall technical design, pertaining to the infrastructure elements, integration, connectivity and hosting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specialize in the best practice design, operations, and support of private/public/hybrid cloud infrastructure including Network, Storage, Data Protection, Compute and Security
  • Design, develop, test and automate deployment of new Cloud Infrastructure technologies using agile methods using IaC
  • Ensure proposed design aligns to Application, Enterprise, Security architecture as well as the other Applied Materials policies and framework
  • Recommend new services to complement and enhance infrastructure elements to stream-line and support applications development and deployment
  • Identify potential and emerging technologies relevant to innovation for Applied Materials
  • Implement, support, and evaluate Cloud services, develop and interoperate security policies and procedures, advise and consult on risk assessments
  • Create architecture diagrams using tools like Visio, power point etc.
  • Create technical solutions/design documents when needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Has minimally 6+ years’ experience in designing/implementation of large-scale private/public/hybrid cloud or virtualization infrastructure solutions
  • The candidate should have attained professional certifications with at least 3 years of hands-on implementation experience in AWS Cloud.
  • Manage AWS organizational accounts of production and non-prod environments with multiple VPC’s and carried key duties of automation, cost optimization, health checks and builds.
  • Possess hands-on experience and good technical skills with proven track records in IT infrastructure and/or emerging IT technologies engineering in the following area:
    • Advanced experience with Automation , Orchestration, implementation solutions using IaC (Terraform Enterprise)
    • Experience with Version Control Systems
    • Platform, storage, database and virtualization
    • Container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes and AWS ECS
    • Experience in handling and utilizing AWS services like EC2, S3, EBS, VPC, RDS, ELB, Autoscaling, CloudFront, SNS, SES, Route 53, ElastiCache etc
    • Knowledge of DevOps techniques and Agile practices is an added advantage
    • Proficient in multi-tiered architecture, design and implementation
    • Strong working knowledge and ability to apply architecture concepts, frameworks and methodologies to projects
    • Experienced in business and technical analysis, architecture design
    • Ability to communicate IT architecture methods, concepts, standards and policies
    • Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills, able to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
  • Willing to take initiative, learn and work
  • Excellent problem solving/problem resolution skills
  • Strong working knowledge and ability to apply architecture concepts, frameworks and methodologies to projects
