POSITION SUMMARY:

The EPNA Operational Excellence Leader is an exciting and challenging position leading the strategic development and deployment of Continuous Improvement initiatives across the seven Crouse-Hinds North America EPNA manufacturing locations. This position will collaborate with both site and division cross-functional teams to focus on the adoption of CIF, ELSS, Advanced Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 concepts to optimize manufacturing operational performance and ensure a pipeline of talented CI skills across the organization. This role is responsible for leading the development of regional capabilities in the area of Continuous Improvement with regards to Lean, Six Sigma and Manufacturing Excellence, driving towards World Class Metrics and Model Plant status of manufacturing plants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

+ Through hands on approach, deploys Lean, Six Sigma, CIF and Manufacturing Excellence tools and processes in order to drive cost out goals, achieve performance excellence, improve customer satisfaction as measured through Profit Plan and Strategic Plan goals.

+ Responsible for working with divisional and site leadership and for co-developing the continuous improvement plans within the specified area of responsibility utilizing Integrated Deck Building and EBS Pull.

+ Responsible for execution of the key breakthrough continuous improvement projects (key needle mover projects) within the specified area of responsibility, including the achievement of stretch performance goals.

+ Champion Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) tools and processes and use in a disciplined and rigorous way to achieve stretch performance goals while building organizational capability of business and site lean coordinators.

+ Responsible for sustaining the results achieved through follow-up reviews, building of local organizational capability and deployment of Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).

+ Support annual assessments including Operations Assessment (OpA). Identify with divisional and site leadership appropriate Opportunities for Advancement and improvement action plans.

+ Ongoing mentoring, evaluation and development of business and plant lean coordinators, against the ELSS functional competencies.

+ Coordinate and support the facilitation of top-level training/program and certification on ELSS tools and culture.

+ Champion structured problem solving including the application of PDCA to build organizational capability, shape the culture and get results.

+ Responsible for the development of Six Sigma statistical tools competence and resource as required by the businesses in the region.

+ Develop and continuously improve understanding of the advantages of industry 4.0 concepts and technologies and their applicability to various manufacturing use cases.

+ Lead prioritization of application of industry 4.0 technologies across EPNA divisions.

+ Lead efforts to stablish roadmaps and incorporate industry 4.0 concepts into CI and EBS applications in EPNA.

+ Creates the functional OCA for the Organization.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution

+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial operations environments

+ Lean Six Sigma strong background and experience

+ Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Masters Degree in business administration

+ Certified Black Belt from an accredited institution

+ Shop floor management experience

+ Experience in strategic and annual planning (i.e EBS PULL)

+ Experience in international operations development

+ Bi-lingual, English and Spanish

Position Criteria:

+ Experience with TPS, CIF, Lean, Six Sigma, Quality Management Systems, and EHS implementations

+ Working knowledge of business management systems (MRP, order management)

+ Operations management experience is low mix high volume, high mix low volume and engineered to order environments

+ Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies

+ Financial acumen and experience with business case development

+ Working knowledge of logistics and distribution

+ Has led major initiatives across multiple sites and organizational boundaries

+ Understanding of IT infrastructure & system integration

+ Effective communicator within environments ranging from shop floor kaizen teams, to operations leadership stakeholder groups, to business group staff, and Eaton senior leadership

+ Ability to travel up to 50% both domestically and internationally
