Upon resumption of normal operations, this role may be performed at our Jersey City, New Jersey office.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Monitor foreign currency nostro account positions using Real Time Cash Management (RTCM) application to ensure all accounts adequately funded
  • Intraday recon on afternoon currencies:AED,INR,CAD,MXN,TRY
    • Review accuracy of nostro projected balance reconciliation performed by Cash Management Kuala Lumpur
  • Check accuracy balance substantiation
  • Check accuracy of Intraday reconciliation on Asia Pacific currencies: AUD,CNY,HKD,JPY,SGD,THB,ZAR
  • Check accuracy of FO email distribution
    • Review and approve nostro adjustments created by Cash Management Kuala Lumpur
    • Report nostro account fluctuations caused by aforementioned nostro adjustments to FX Front Office for Foreign Exchange Funding
    • Ensure accurate USD projections provided to Balance Sheet Management (BSM) for Broker/Dealer Funding
  • Provide Fixed Income funding need to BSM desk
    • Assume Team Lead for CPS Payments in Manager's absence, by providing guidance with manual payments processing
  • 2nd releaser of manual payments
    • Update daily metrics and end of day checklists

    Decision-Making Responsibility:
    • The job holder must work within the regulatory framework of the Treasury markets supported and work within the parameters and controls set forth by Management, FIM and other relevant procedure manuals.
    • The job holder has authority to make decisions for their assigned tasks/accountabilities and provide/implement suggestions that will enhance the process. He/she must inform immediate manager and the managers of the respective departments of any decisions which affect the various areas of the Bank.

    Management of Risk
    • Each employee must be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and acts in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
    • Each employee must ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues.
    • Each employee must promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand.

    Observation of Internal Controls
    • Each employee must maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Any failures to comply with the above should be reflected in year end performance assessments.
    • Each employee must understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.


    Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.

    • 5-7yrs experience is required in a treasury operations environment.
    • The job holder should be detailed oriented and have a good understanding of industry best practices; regulatory requirements, and Group standards.
    • People oriented individual who is highly motivated and versatile with strong communication and organizational skills.
    • He/she must be able to work competently under pressure exercising sound judgment in a dynamic environment.
    • Demonstrate the ability to think quickly in a fast paced environment.
