Position Summary: The Department of Anthropology at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is currently looking to fill a Part-Time Teaching position for the 070:390 Fossil Hominin Anatomy course in the Fall 2021 term. This course will provide information on the human fossil record during Plio-Pleistocene; taxonomy, phylogenetics, and functional morphology; the origins of the Hominidae, diversity in Australopithecus, and Paranthropus, rise of Homo and of Homo sapiens. Casts and published reports will be used and methods of inference discussed This course has been scheduled to be taught as a hybrid. It will meet online on Mondays from 11 am to 12:20 pm and in-person on Wednesdays from 11 am to 12:20 pm. Minimum Education and Experience: PhD or ABD in Anthropology or related field. Demonstrated familiarity with topic.
