Requisition Number: 2019 - 083 Business Unit: College of Medicine Department: Cellular/Integrative Physiology 50000525 Reg-Temp: Full-Time Regular Position Summary: A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available immediately in the Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center to participate in research into the mechanisms of cardiac remodeling after myocardial infarction. We are seeking a highly motivated recent Ph.D. graduate to support an NIH funded project to develop strategies to target inflammatory and extracellular matrix signaling pathways involved in cardiac injury and repair. Candidates should have expertise in standard biochemistry techniques, cell culture, or animal surgery. Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of the follow areas: cardiac disease experimental models or molecular expertise in proteomic or genomic analysis of cell signaling pathways. Candidates will be trained to conduct hypothesis-driven translatable research and develop new and independent projects that will lead to independence.
