Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a NAIL SW Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. Huntsville, AL is also a possible location for the position.

•    Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

•    Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

•    Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.

•    Ensures software standards are met.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualifications - External

Basic Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree with 9 years of experience, Master’s with 7 years, PhD with 4 years, 4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree

    5 years of experience in development of SW for C3 systems; development  experience in senior leader communication systems; hands-on coding and testing experience

    Experience with Modular Open System Architecture (MOSA)

    Experience in Agile S/W development

    Experience with DevSecOps

    Active Top Secret Clearance (Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance)

Preferred Qualifications:

Network SW...Java, Python, Cisco knowledge, Ansible knowledge

YAML and strong understanding of LINUX OS and command line.
