Phlebotomist
Schedule: Monday, 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM and Every Weekend 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Location: Medical City Las Colinas Hospital

Seeking a Phlebotomist for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. The Phlebotomist Job Description includes: 
  • Collects and processes proper blood specimens by venipuncture, heel stick, and finger stick, demonstrating a professional and knowledgeable technique
  • Ensures specimen collection and/or blood draws are performed in accordance to meet the individual safety needs of newborns to geriatric patients
  • Performs various secretarial duties, which include the input of patient demographics and charges into the computer system as well as accurately monitoring collection schedules. 
  • Participates in hospital or departmental performance improvement activities
  • Performs other duties to assist the Medical Technologists, as assigned and approved by the Laboratory Director

Qualifications

Phlebotomist Job Requirements:

  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
  • BLS required
