This is a key position in the Proposals & Estimation (P&E) Organization implemented to maximize customer facing time from front line resources.  This position supports the European Sales organization reporting to the Regional P&E Proposal Lead (or P&E Team Leader when applicable). 

This role will have a dual responsibility for increasing customer face-time for the District sales force by providing

·         Up-stream sales support for Public / Private Tender Processes facilitating the efficient administration of bids, bid reviews and associated bid documentation, including approvals for the booking of such proposals. Among other activities the sales support activities will require:

o   Liaise with the Contract Manager to ensure safe keeping of classified documents, adhering to Honeywell procedures and applicable local regulations.

o   Undertake other administrative tasks as required like bid approvals & order administration

o   Provide cover for Regional P&E Proposal Lead duties as required.

o   Provide administrative support to the LPP Proposal Lead roles allowing them to focus more time on strategy, analytics and targeted customer pursuits with Sales.

·         Estimation support by generating technical proposals, budgetary and firm cost estimates for Projects below 150k$. This requires:

o   Ability to interpret mechanical specifications and drawings to produce electrical material take off, full BMS points schedule, selection of a specification compliant BMS systems, selection of control devices and sizing control valves.

o   Estimate modelling.

o   Compiling all data in the form of a take-off for inputting into our estimating tools

o   Production of the tender submission and inclusion of supporting documentation and method statements

o   Assist with production of bid documents and arrangements to supply these documents to the customer within defined tender deadlines

Basic Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree or in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree equivalent Honeywell sales operations experience.

·         3 years’ experience project management, sales support or sales operations experience.

·         Working experience with MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

·         Business fluent in written and spoken Flemish/French and English.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Experience working in a highly matrixed organization

·         Strong organization and planning skills

·         Working experience with Salesforce

·         Demonstrated success working effectively in a deadline driven environment

·         Anticipate future trends accurately; learn quickly and think independently to adapt as required

·         Understands the HBS value proposition and portfolio of solutions.

·         Demonstrates a well-developed sense of the industry and market trends for their assigned opportunities

·         Depth of knowledge of our customers’ businesses and drivers

·         General knowledge of Honeywell terms and conditions

·         Knowledge of internal sales process and systems to drive consistent business results

·         Experience with balancing short-term results with long term strategy

·         Proven ability to work on multiple projects/ opportunities at one time

·         Preference for candidates located in Districts they will be supporting
